In their second week on the programme, the students took part at a residential in Swindon at PGL outdoor activity centre on the 23rd September to 26th September, which was full of adventurous and challenging activities, helping them bond as a team.
One of the participants, Anthony Rossiter-Walkes commented, ‘It was a wonderful opportunity to get away from city humdrum and experience a different environment…The activities were ridiculous fun and put my strength and determination to the test.’
They supported and encouraged each other in activities such as the Jacob’s ladder, archery, canoeing, aeroball, climbing, abseiling and leap of faith, which really helped them come out of their comfort zones.
They are currently involved in a community project at Island Arts Studio, which is a charity in Herne Hill, with the main goal of having a positive impact on their local community. They have fundraised £200 so far towards the community project.
The Prince’s Trust Team Programme encourages its participants to push themselves to reach their full potential and prepare them in taking that next step in their learning journeys.
