The Level 3 Award in Air Source Heat Pump Systems (Non-refrigerant circuits) is a part-time, evening course that leads to a nationally-recognised City & Guilds qualification, and has been developed in collaboration with industry specialists and established construction professionals.
It's designed to provide practicing and experienced installers the skills and knowledge required to consult with clients - to determine needs and demands - and evaluate and select the most appropriate Air Source Heat Pump for an installation. You'll then learn how to install any of the common Air Source Heat Pumps in a safe and effective manner.
Taught by our industry-expert faculty at our state-of-the-art Nine Elms facility, this course is perfectly suited to those of you from a heating background (wet central heating systems) who wish to update your knowledge or upskill in the installation and maintenance of Air Source, Ground Source, and Combined Heat Pumps Systems (non-refrigerant circuits).
This qualification has been brought up to date in association with the Heat Pump Association, industry standards and best practices, and Micro-generation Certification Scheme (MCS).
What experience and skills will you gain?
You will develop knowledge and understanding in areas that can include
