The Level 1 Access Award in Bookkeeping gives you the opportunity to develop practical bookkeeping skills, while learning what life as a bookkeeper is really like. It will teach you the basics of manual bookkeeping, and give you a solid base of knowledge to take your first steps towards a career in business or finance, upskill for your current role, or advance to further study and progress to additional AAT qualifications.
This course is perfectly suited to those of you who have minimal work experience in this sector, are looking to return to education, or even if you're self-employed and want to learn the accountancy skills to do your own bookkeeping.
The Level 1 Access Award in Bookkeeping is part of AAT's range of Short Qualifications; typically taking two weeks to complete, with two study days per week. These Short Qualifications are flexible, adaptable to your personal needs, and focus on the specific knowledge and skills you will need for a career in bookkeeping. What's more, as they're provided by AAT (the Association of Accounting Technicians), they're highly-valued by employers in a wide-range of industries.
This is a part-time course, with multiple start dates throughout the year, so it can be fitted around your existing home, study, and work commitments.
