We were delighted to host a Graduation Event for learners who had just completed the Level 3 Higher Development Award! Learner Lucia Sattar shared that “this programme has unlocked all the skills that I already had, but was never aware of. Now I am ready to continue developing within the NHS and become a qualified nurse”
The learners started off with the the Level 1 Higher Development Award in 2021 and have now completed 3 levels. The students are are clinical (HSW) and non clinical NHS staff from different Trusts across London (Kingston, Homerton, St Georges University, Barts, Royal Marsden, Hounslow & Richmond). The learners will now progress into Associate and Apprenticeships programmes within the NHS, including Trainee Nursing, Midwifery and Maternity, Recovery Therapy, as well as senior roles within the NHS Administration teams.
The Higher Development Award is open to all staff working in bands 2-4 (or equivalent) in Health and Social Care organisations. This includes healthcare assistants, support workers, maternity support workers, rehab assistants, therapy assistants, receptionists, ward clerks, coordinators and administrators. These qualifications are designed for healthcare assistants, support workers and non-clinical staff; usually working in band 2-4 roles.
Congratulations to the learners and we wish them all the success in their new ventures!
